Want to Join an Innovation[X] Team?

The Innovation[X] Program provides students the opportunity to be a part of a faculty-led, research project focused on creating solutions that will have an impact on the community, nation, and the world. This year’s selected projects range from detection of airborne bacteria, to real-time analytics for data visualization, to innovation in sustainability through carbon neutrality.

Each I[X] team must include a multidisciplinary team of 10-15 students consisting of both undergraduate and graduate students from across the university. Students selected to join a team will have the opportunity to engage in a transformational learning experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams from a diverse set of majors.

Students can apply for up to 3 I[X] projects, but can only commit to being a team member on 1 project.

Some potential benefits to joining an I[X] Team:

  • May qualify as an internship
  • Some projects pay student stipends
  • May be eligible for research credit
